“Trees are the best monuments that a man can erect to his own memory. They speak his praises without flattery, and they are blessings to children yet unborn.”
Lord Orrery (1707 – 1762)

In all the planning meetings for Barn Elms great emphasis has been placed on preserving the natural beauty of the site. This is a truly amazing spot so close to the centre of London and next door to The Wetlands Centre, a Site of Special Scientific Interest. All our plans have been scrutinised for their effect on the environment and wherever possible designs and materials have been chosen to complement the environment. If you choose to sponsor a tree in our tree planting scheme, your name will be carved into a tree stake.
