The BCA is proposing to join with us in a new venture. This exciting new project – the Barnes Food and Drink Fair - will act as a fundraiser for the regeneration of the Barn Elms sports fields and facilities.
We are going to need willing volunteers to help with the launch and the eventual show itself, and we are looking particularly for somebody with sales experience who can undertake a telephone sales campaign, both to local companies and others located elsewhere in the UK.
The Food and Drink Fair is planned to take place in a large marquee on Barnes Green on a weekend in mid-October, with cooking demonstrations planned in the adjacent Barnes Green Centre.

It was great to see so many people at our Barn Elms Sports Trust stall on what turned out to be a glorious summer day. We were there to update the community on progress and promote our buy-a-brick campaign; we are delighted at the response so far. Our target is to have 800 bricks in our community wall which forms part of the new pavillion - find out more about our campaign on the buy-a-brick page. |

The council's public consultation event for the improvements at Barn Elms took place at the OSO. They presented the plans prior to the submission of planning permission in June. It was well attended by local sports clubs and residents who took the opportunity to ask questions about the current project and future plans and submit written responses about the project to the council.
